                                                Alkanes

* Single bonds between carbon atom is called alkanes.
*General formula: CnH(2n+2).
* The maximum amount of hydrogen atoms are bonded . so alkanes are saturated.

* doable bond b/w a pair of carbons is known has alkens .

*genral farmula (CnH2n)

* alkenes are unsaturated because the maximum hydrozens are not bonded to carbon .

* smiple alkenes contains two carbons. -CH2=CH2.

*triple bond betwin carbons is called has alkynes.

* general formula CnH2n-2.

*alkynes are unsaturated because the maximum hydrozens are  not bonded to to the carbon atom.
